In today’s episode, I am chatting with a beautiful friend of mine, Claire Baines, about her journey to starting a family.
In this conversation, we talk about Claire’s fertility journey, navigating multiple rounds of IVF, miscarriage, the impact on their marriage, all the lessons along the way, and how to make peace and find joy when the outcome isn’t what you’d hoped for. I’m so grateful to Claire for her openness and honesty in sharing her very personal experiences here in this very important conversation.
Devoted wife, Mum to English Springer Spaniel, Burton, and the coolest Aunty in the world, Claire loves nothing more than giving every single bit of love to those around her.
Claire spent the first part of her career navigating the corporate events space before launching her own business helping to bridge the gap between corporates and charities. Inspired by the work of her husband Peter, who had founded Hands Across the Water, Claire became deeply engaged in their work over in Thailand. In February 2019, Claire was appointed CEO of Hands Group to oversee the social enterprise that supports the charity.
She works from their farm in New South Wales, and is in the process of creating Gurrumurra eco-lodge with Peter.
