Flawed Bid for Perfection

img_3128

Our handsome boy graced the pages of Queensland’s major newspaper, The Courier Mail,  again today (with our permission). It was with a mix of pride and sadness that I read the words written by Kylie Lang in her opinion piece about the proposal that new non-invasive prenatal testing be covered by Medicare and questioning the value our society places on human life. I am pleased to still be an advocate within the Down syndrome community, and that Nicholas continues to shine his light into the world. I just wish I still had that boy in our lives to cuddle. Oh I miss him so.

PS. You can read the online version of the article here. But I would recommend adhering to my policy about not reading the additional comments ‘below the line’. Unfortunately, there are some very sad people who like to share their limited views and I find it much better for my heart not to read their vitriol.

I am so grateful for your thoughts and comments, so please reply below.
