Celebrating Two

Two years ago on this day, we welcomed another beautiful blonde bundle into our lives.

After months of waiting and worrying about this pre-labelled baby, Nicholas arrived and fit seamlessly into our family. Never in a million years could I imagine just how much more joy and love and delight our littlest Love would bring into our lives. While it’s hard to believe he’s two already, in some ways I feel as though he’s always been a part of our family.

It’s difficult to choose exactly what we love the most about our two year old littlest Love right now. Is it that little voice that yells out ‘hellooo’ from his room in the morning to let us know he’s awake. Or the cheeky grin and wave as he speeds away from us on his trike. Perhaps it’s the full body cuddles, complete with chubby arms around our neck, that tells us he loves us back. So many reasons to love this boy that some days it feels like our hearts are going to burst.

Happy 2^nd birthday to our funny, cheeky, clever, spunky, delightful Nicholas who, along with his brothers, teaches us so many things every day. The first two years have been a blast, and we can’t wait to see what’s yet to come.

And you’ll teach me

Of hearts and dreams

And all the most important things

And all that I have lost along the way.
